Printing Techniques

Plot Printing

This technique is good on light and dark textiles using only pure colours.

Advantages:

- Covering colours on dark textiles
- Excellent quality and washing durability
- High brightness
Disadvantages:
- Complicated with larger amounts
- Every further colour requires a further printing procedure
There are various types of plot printing:
Flex – shiny and smooth finish using up to 3 colours per design
Writeable Flex – as Flex but you can rewrite on them
Special Flex – smooth and glistening, extremely durable but only 1 colour
Flock – velvety plush, extremely durable with up to 3 colours
Digital Transfer

This technique is for light textiles

Advantages:

- Starting at a print-run of one item
- Fast realisation, short delivery times
- Great effects especially with coloured logos on white T-Shirts
Disadvantages:
- Only possible on light coloured textiles
- Poor washing durability
